The Customer

As I was driving toward Albany on Rt. 20 this morning, I noticed a sign which asked people to buy locally. Support our businesses!

I'll bet most of these are small businesses that are managed by the person who started it or are family run.

My father started a business - a general store in a town of 290 people - back in the 40s. Revenue the first year was $4k and he was carrying $500 in customer credit at year end. It didn't look promising but in the end it grew to $1.5 million in sales. His approach was simple:
